After inventing the world's first paddle suit prototype back in Austria in 2011 SUPSKIN grew into a thriving business over the years. In 2017, we took our mission to the next level and moved the whole operation to Lisbon, Portugal, Europe's hub for technical textile. Since 2024 our headquarters are back in Austria where it all started.
We have continued to drive innovation in all aspects of technical wear for stand-up paddling since then. Innovation comes from necessity but not only for stand up paddling. That´s why we decided to define AZOIA as an umbrella term for high tech waterwear  for the three watersports  SUP, FOIL and PADDLE. 

Lakes, rivers and the sea are places where we like to play. During our time in Portugal we visited many beautiful regions and spots between the Lagoa de Albufeira and Guincho to stand up paddle, to foil, to surfski or simply spend a nice time with friends & family. 

Living at the ocean in the most western area of Europe and being overwhelmed by nature in this surrounding we realized that it was only natural to offer solutions for other water sports in need of functional wear. That´s why we decided to define AZOIA, named after the small and very exposed village next to our headquarter back then, as an umbrella term for high tech water wear for the three water sports  SUP, FOIL and SURFSKI PADDLE.
